Romania – by Amber US

If I had one piece of advice to give it would be to not pass up this experience. Often people venture into Eastern Europe but write off Romania because there is not a lot of information out there. In visiting this country you can see how life in Eastern Europe, and the whole of the world, once was. The shipyards still walk with their sheep and the cattle roam free.
Throughout your adventure you will learn the history of Romania while exploring its castles, caves, and mountains. Horia is an amazing and knowledgeable guide. There weren?t any questions he couldn?t answer. If you?re worried about food and such, I and one other girl with me on the trip were vegetarians and they even went out of their way to purchase tofu for us. Overall, this trip was one of my most memorable times in Europe and I was there for 6 months. Definitely put it on your to do list!
