Day 1

Pick up from the Bucharest airport

Transfer to our starting point Moeciu, in the heart of Carpathian Mountains

Depending on your arrival time, you can explore the area on bikes in the evening.

Overnight in Moeciu.

Day 2

Transfer to the Bucegi plateau at 1900 meters altitude. This is the National Park border.

Visit the Romanian Sphinx, and bike up to the Caraiman peak at 2300 meters altitude - a breathtaking view.

Then a technical downhill in the Ialomita valley 600 meters bellow.Visit the Ialomita Cave, and the Orthodox monastery inside the cave.

Overnight in Pestera Hotel 3***

Ascent 500m, descent 700m, duration about 7 hours.

Day 3

From Pestera Hotel we take the old sheep trail that takes us to the western ridge of Bucegi Mountains. Some parts will require pushing the bikes.

An amazing descent follows. 7 kilometers of single tracks, through superb landscape.

The final descent includes some great switch backs on a rocky single trail

Overnight in Moeciu Pension 3***

Ascent 300m, descent 800m, duration about 5 hours.

Day 4

Transfer to the Fundata pass at 1300m altitude. Fundata is one of the most picturesque villages in Romania. A 6 Kilometers descent to Dambovicioara through a superb gorge, along the Dambovita river

The uphill part is on a paved road all the way to the village of Sirnea and further back to Fundata. An amazing final descent on single trail back to Moeciu.

Day 5

Relaxing and sight seeing

Drive to the walled medieval city of Brasov - one of the most visited cities in Romania.

Great sites to visit as The Black Church, the main square, the old defense walls that are still well preserved on the south and west side of the old city the watch towers and the narrowest street in Europe are just a few points on this day's agenda. Lunch in restaurant

Drive to Prejmer to visit the strongest fortified church in Transylvania.

Overnight in Moeciu Pension 3***

Day 6

Visit Bran Castle (Dracula's castle) 15km downstream from our accommodation. Lunch near the castle

Bike up to on the Simon Valley. In about 3 hours we reach the Gutanu meadow at the highest point of the day at 1300 meters elevation.

The descent on a switch back trail drops us fast back to Moeciu

Day 7

Bike down to Zarnesti on paved and forestry roads about 10 miles, then we turn south through the Zarnesti canyon getting deeper into the vild Piatra Craiului National Park. We turn west uphill to the remote Magura village.

A fast single trail descends 5 kilometers back to Moeciu

Overnight in Moeciu

Day 8

Transfer to Bucharest airport.
