Day 1
Bucharest - Moeciu (180 km)
Meet at Bucharest airport. Travel by road along the scenic Prahova
valley, through the picturesque mountain resorts of Sinaia.

Day 2
Visit the Romanian Royal
family palace - the Peles Castle - considered by many one of the most beautiful castles in
all Europe, Peles Castle is a masterpiece of German new-Renaissance architecture.
Bran castle – built in 1377 as part of the Transylvanian
defense system, the castle is a "must see" often referred to as mythical
Dracula's castle. |

Day 3
Visit the Rasnov Fortress - founded around 1225 by German Teutonic Knights. The
superb location of this fortress allows us a great view over the surrounding mountains.
Onward we reach Brasov – the most important medieval city in the area and one
of the most visited cities in Romania. Great sites to visit as The Black Church, the main
square, the old defense walls that are still well preserved on the south and west side of
the old city the watch towers and the narrowest street in Europe are just a few points on
this day’s agenda.
In the evening we arrive in Sighisoara – the oldest living medieval citadel in
Europe.
We stay here for the night in the medieval hotel Wagner House, not far from
Dracula's birth place. |

Day 4
Sighisoara city tour in the morning, Visit the Clock Tower, the hill church, check out the old
torture chamber, and walk around the defense wall of the town.
Drive to Cluj Napoca –
the cultural capital of Transylvania.

In the evening we reach to Satu Mare – a gate to
Maramures.

Day 5 - Maramures
Maramures village museum – real old households gathered from
all around Maramures, reassembled in their original shape in this magnificent open air
museum.
Visit the Merry Cemetery in Sapanta – unique in the world the
painted crosses present the life of those who lie beneath in funny lyrics, as part of the
unique culture and tradition of Maramures.
Next stop is Barsana Monastery – a newly rebuilt wooden monastery. The new monastery was
rebuilt using the same old technique of wood assembly without any iron parts and no nails.
The church tower is more than 50 meters high and proves the strength of this ancient
technique.

Day 6
Bucovina
painted monasteries
Visit the Moldovita Monastery. The one can we see
today dates back to 1532 and is due to ruling prince Petru Rares– one of the most
important monasteries of it’s time.
Visit the Voronet Monastery - probably the most accomplished sample of artistic achievement in Moldavian architecture
and painting

Day 7
Pass through
the Bicazului Gorges - the most spectacular road pass in Romania.
A quick stop at the Red Lake (the roof of an old mine collapsed in 1889 creating
a small lake with a strange reddish color)
On the other
side of the mountains we are again in Transylvania county, going south to reach by evening
back to Moeciu for the night. |

Day 8
Bucharest city
tour – including the most important sites of Romania’s capital. The Arc de Triumph,
People’s House (The Parliament Palace) – the second largest building in the world after the Pentagon, the old
Princely court.

Transfer to the airport for departure
